How are discounts handled by Salon Scheduler?
Clover supports both ITEM and ORDER discounts. Salon Scheduler reporting handles these cases differently in order to provide you with maximum flexibility.
If an ITEM discount for an item or service is given to the customer during checkout, Salon Scheduler will automatically allocate the discount to employee who actually performed the service or is responsible for the sale of the item. This allocation will be recorded in the Salon Scheduler Reports.
If an ORDER discount for the entire checkout ticket is given to the customer, Salon Scheduler does not allocate this to any employees.
When giving a discount to a customer, you should use the item or order discount based on whether the discount should effect the employee reporting or not.
